PADI Scuba Diver Course
Why PADI Scuba Diver?
PADI Scuba Diver Course is an entry level course, and is perfectly suited to someone who does not have the time to complete a PADI Open Water Course, or for someone who simply wants to obtain a license to dive with minimal effort. 2 days are all that are required and afterwards you get a license to dive but with a few restrictions compared to a full PADI Open Water License. Upon completion, you will be certified to dive under supervision professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres.
What are the requirements?
Minimum age is 10 years, but if you are between 10-14 years old you will qualify for the Junior Scuba Diver certification, after which you can only dive under adult supervision.
PADI eLearning requires a minimum age of 13 years due to international internet laws.
Take the medical questionnaire to determine if you meet health requirements, and you should be comfortable in the water and in good health.
You must be able to float in water too deep to stand for 10 minutes.
What can I expect?
Knowledge Development (online with PADI eLearning, home study or in a classroom) to understand the basic principles of scuba diving, via watching the PADI Open Water Diver video, browsing through the Open Water Diver manual and doing 3 knowledge review exercises and 3 short quizzes.
3 Confined Water Dives to learn and master basic scuba skills.
2 Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore.
Dedicated Instructors to help guide you along the way.
How long does it take?
The PADI Scuba Diver Course takes 2 days to complete.
With the PADI Scuba Diver qualification, you are able to dive, and can always choose to upgrade in the PADI Open Water Diver course.
The confined water portion of the PADI Scuba Diver Diver course will be conducted at the Amantra Resort & Spa swimming pool and the open water dives at any of the following dive sites: Koh Ha, Koh Bida, Koh Ngai, Koh Muk, Koh Waen & Koh Ma.
